How much money can you throw at what was until recently BMWs entry level car? Apparently almost $60K without an option. Can't argue with going that route though. I've always said I'd rather have an upper level small car than a base large car. No hubcaps for me.

I consider a drop-top an option. Bigger engine=kind of an option. M package=definitely an option. So actually, you have quite a few expensive options on there. Meanwhile the truly base 320i starts at about half the price. It's no picnic, but it's not 60 grand.
